Company Name/ Art Name:
FM170 Art
Description of Artwork:
I’m not sure how to describe my art. None of this art would be possible without God, so yes, Jesus and the Bible stories are part of my illustrations. I like desert scenes (mountains, ocotillos, prickly pears, and mesquites). I’m a big old western art, movies, and retro comic book fan, so cowboys and Indians are included. Big fan of coffee, so the 1920’s rubber hose cartoons are, in my opinion, the best illustrations to draw a coffee mug wearing a cowboy hat and cowboy boots named Giddy up Joe.
Artist Biography:
Hi, I am Edgar E Armendariz, the dude behind the scenes for FM170 Art. I am a West Texan who lives and breathes here in the oil patch/ dusty plains of Midland, TX. I enjoy drawing and illustrating; it has been part of my life since I was little. What started as a hobby became part of me and I can’t separate from it. Thank you, God, and the paths he has created for me to pick up drawing and illustration. My art name comes from the road that starts in Terlingua, TX (on the drive from Alpine, TX), and passes through Presidio, TX. It is my special place with all the mountain scenery and the river flowing majestically right through it, so special that it became my art name.
