When I'm focusing on something abstract I generally just choose some colors and start. When it's more deliberate or I'm inspired I'll typically sketch out the piece and be precise with measurements. Regardless, I normally turn on some good music and lose myself in the work.

Artist Biography:

I had always absentmindedly drawn random shapes that would eventually start to resemble something, but never thought of myself as an artist, and would normally give up worried that I would "ruin" it if i continued.

My best friend, who had encouraged me artistically, took his own life in December of 2022 and I then decided to turn the negative emotions surrounding the loss into creating and sharing my art to establish new connections and fill the void.

Although some are more intentional than others, my art often serves as a Rohrschach test for the viewer and I'm fascinated by how others react and interpret each piece.
