Art. Community. Cocktails. Showcases Midland’s Creativity Across Culinary, Visual, and Performance Art

Midland, TX — [Insert Date] — The Midland Art Crawl drew a lively crowd for its Art. Community. Cocktails. event, proving once again that art in Midland extends far beyond the walls of galleries. With culinary creations, live performance, and visual art all under one roof, the evening spotlighted the growing movement to celebrate and retain local creatives while attracting cultural tourism to the Permian Basin.

Hosted at Leyenda Coffee & Tequila, the event featured a fall-inspired appetizer flight crafted by Chef Leo Garcia in collaboration with Leyenda Coffee & Tequila’s owner, Mark Marquez. Guests experienced food as edible art, reinforcing the Crawl’s mission to highlight all forms of creativity in Midland.

A silent auction showcased works donated by local artists, with proceeds directly supporting the Midland Art Crawl. Attendees also supported the mission by purchasing food, cocktails, and raffle tickets generously donated by local businesses.

The evening ended on a high note with a surprise performance by Ashley Neptune, a fire dancer on stilts, who electrified the crowd before raffle winners were announced.

“Midland Art Crawl exists to celebrate and sustain local creativity,” said Stacy Livingston, Founder & President of Midland Art Crawl. “Our vision is to show that artists, chefs, and performers don’t need to leave for bigger cities to find recognition and opportunity. We’re building it right here—and inviting the community and sponsors to help us grow.”

Building Cultural Tourism & Retaining Local Creatives

The Crawl emphasizes that art is more than what can be hung on a wall or placed on a shelf. Culinary innovation, performance, and visual art are equally central to Midland’s cultural fabric. By showcasing these talents, the Crawl is driving cultural tourism and ensuring that local creatives see Midland as a place where their work is valued, celebrated, and sustainable.
